WHAT?
No mention of the dogs and how you drove back and forth uphill both ways for 40 days and 40 nights in blistering 500 degree temperatures?
I'm shocked, I tell you. Shocked.
I moved to Florida. It has been an interesting year. In that year I can count on one hand the number of days the weather was so bad it kept me inside, mostly in December. In the past year I have made a few new friends and discarded old associations that no longer served any purpose. Still driving the same vehicle I moved here with but planning on something new very soon. Still in the same home after making a lot of improvements and making it the nicest yard in my community. Still a million shy of being a millionaire but working on it...

Well I didn't want to bore anyone with the details... I left on Saturday with my van and a 12 ft trailer so over loaded it's amazing I ever made it. Going over the mountains in Tennessee I couldn't get it to go over 40mph. I left on Saturday night and arrived late on Sunday afternoon. It had been rainy and cool (under 60* in Ohio when I was loading the van all day) but I arrived here in 94* heat. I had to unload the truck and trailer by myself, cut grass and clean the place. Then Monday evening I headed back to Ohio to return the trailer and arrived Tuesday evening. I arrived an hour after the trailer rental store closed so I had to chain it and lock it to their gate and then put the key to the lock and their wiring harness adapter in an envelope and toss it into their mailbox up by the office. Then back to my old place to put the passenger seat back in the van, feed Rocqui, load the van again (and leaving behind a few things I simply couldn't fit in it) say goodbye to neighbors, take a shower and try to take a nap (on the floor in a cold house as it still hadn't warmed up from when I left). Then back on the road at 3:30am heading back here with my brother behind me with a one-way trailer rental for his things and I had 2 dogs and a cat with me. We arrived exactly 24 hrs later more dead than alive. 3,000 miles for me on about 5 hrs sleep over the course of 4 days. Wouldn't want to live through that week again for ANYTHING. In fact I was on the road still one year ago today and would arrive 3:30 tomorrow morning. Just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt.
